Welcome, babies

I couldn’t think of a better way to begin than with an official unofficial blog theme song and a glittery 60s full-length flower-power dress. (And don’t you just love Sammy telling her, “Just do your thing, baby” under the applause at the beginning? Totally adorable. Okay, I now declare that my official blog “vibe.”)

Whew. One single post; the rest a blank slate. Feels really good. Can’t wait to see what it becomes. I just love new beginnings.

So, hi there, you. I’m really glad you’re here. Welcome to the next phase. More life, more love, more fun! Whaddya say? Are ya with me?

Just do your thing, baby.

I’m grooving to this new site and I can’t wait for more. This place is happening and I mean this, baby.

Congrats on the new blog, love the look!

Brad: This is my happening and it freaks me out! :)
Thanks.

mommydee: Thanks. I love the look, too. And you can have a version of it yourself, if you have WordPress. I got it here. I hacked it a bit with the help of a friend in order to make it two instead of three columns. But the original three-column version looks good, too.

Hm, sorry for holding your comments ransom for a while. I didn’t realize comment moderation was turned on. I think I’ve freed it up now, but we’ll have to see the next time someone tests it out.

I love the picture at the top of the page of the girl with the books. The expression on her face has reminded me how much I enjoy reading, and the anticipation I get when I start a new book. So now I’m going to turn of the computer and the telly and go and read for once.
Thank you

Vicky: Yeah, I tried to find photos of little things that bring me pleasure. I love fresh book smell. The photo comes from flickr–there’s a link to the original in the sidebar. It is actually a much larger, better photo in full.
